Proper nutrition for competitive and serious athletes can significantly improve performance. A sports nutrition appointment will address an athlete's carbohydrate intake before, after and during exercise. Protein requirements for various athlete types (eg aerobic/endurance exercise vs resistive exercise). A session will also include appropriate fat, vitamin and mineral intake, as well as fluid and electrolytes replacement. Common athletic supplements can also be reviewed upon request.
